This car part manufacturer was re-tooling for a new generation of car models that required a new set of press machines.
The scope included an overhaul of the entire press bay to accommodate four new presses, plus an additional one at the end of the bay.
The project presented an extra challenge: The excavation was located along the building column line and special shoring needed to be designed to tie directly into the columns.
In addition, the customer requested that they could start up each press as each individual foundation in the bay was complete, requiring minimal disruption to the surrounding machines.
The timelapse video below says it all!
Our team performed all modifications to the press bay with minimal dust, precision forming and keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.
Through meticulous project management and working closely with our client, the machine installers and subtrades, we installed the new presses according to plan within a few weeks.
