The Scope
This project involved the construction of a new loading dock and accessibility ramp, designed to enhance functionality and accessibility. The project included soil excavation, rebar installation, concrete work, and the installation of galvanized angles for structural integrity.
Project Details
The project included installing deco foam isolation to prevent moisture penetration, securing rebar with HY-200 Hilti Epoxy, and fitting structural galvanized angles for the overhang and leveling pit. Wood forms ensured precise dimensions.
The loading dock was poured and trowel-finished using 35MPa air-entrained concrete for durability.
Excavation reached the building footings, with soil stockpiled for backfilling.
Footings were poured with 25MPa concrete, while foundation and ramp walls used 35MPa concrete placed via pump truck.
The ramp and landings were reinforced and poured in two stages, ensuring strength and a smooth finish.
The Outcome
The new loading dock and accessibility ramp provide a robust and accessible solution, enhancing the functionality of the facility. The project was executed with precision and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications.
